In 2016 Easy Garbage entered into a Strategic Alliance with an entity titled Rapid Cleaning Development Mechanism Trust (RCDM) which is a registered trust that is accredited by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to broker and promotes the generation and exchange of UNFCCC carbon credits. RCDM Trust had laid dormant for a number of years due to political challenges in the country despite boasting a highly qualified team of individuals on board. Easy Garbage presented its concept to Decentralize the waste management system in Zimbabwe whilst carrying out recycling at remote location sites known as Material Recovery Facilities. This document is titled EASY GARBAGE Initial Proposal-City as well as the relevant PowerPoint presentation (Easy garbage Decentralization). This in-depth document was compiled with the aid of the University of Zimbabwe Civil Engineering Department. This presentation was then also presented to the Harare City Council in 2016 to the then Public Works Director Pfukwa, Public Works Operations Officer Engineer Chigariro, and Waste Management Head Mr. D. Sakupwanya.

Easy Garbage approached the Mufakose council in conjunction with Waste Away in order to commence curbside collection in Mufakose. The report titled “Report on Waste a collection site and production site” illustrates this. The model was going to follow as is stated in the document above EASY GARBAGE initial proposal and the financial figures to do so are indicated in the excel spreadsheet titled EASY GARBAGE BUDGET MUFAKOSE 2016 SIMPLE.

In late 2016 Vusa Chimanikire founder and operations officer of Easy Garbage was formally appointed as Chief Executive Officer of RCDM in order to expedite directives in the organization and engage local stakeholders for projects. As such in 2017 when the fire broke out at the Pomana Dump Vusa Chimanikire and the Trust approached the City of Harare, Ministry of Environment, and the Environmental Management Agency to create a mitigation plan as well as “Evaluating and mitigating the post-fire environmental impacts of the Pomona Landfill.” A memorandum of understanding was established and signed between EMA and RCDM/Easy Garbage in that regard. However, the funding for the activation of the study could not be availed. In October 2016, Easy Garbage was approached by Cleverhills to create a solid waste management solution for the 12,000 household suburb just north of the Northern Harare Boundary line. Easy Garbage set up an office and created a launch strategy tailored to Crowhill and its residents. Document titled Crowhill Launch Strategy illustrates this. WasteMate consulted Econet Wireless Zimbabwe on solid waste management and zoning

October 2019 – Curverid Tobacco Consultancy 

WasteMate carried out a feasibility study for Curverid Tobacco on recycling hazardous coal bags in small holder  farmer communities

Wastemate awarded the project to recover over 40,000 hazardous coal bags from smallholder farmers for Curverid Tobacco country wide.

WasteMate carried out an in-depth hazardous chemical container recovery study for CTL in 2020. The study looked into creating an affordable voluntary container recovery scheme amongst all small holder growers.

WasteMate was tasked to collect and incinerate all medical waste from five different border posts in Zimbabwe during the COVID-19 pandemic. The team would collect and handle the medical waste appropriately and deliver it to the nearest functional incinerator.
